United® Launches Program To Propel Fundraising Contributions

With every transaction agents can now donate to Autism Speaks®

October 26, 2016 (DALLAS) –– United® Real Estate, a fast-growing residential real estate franchise organization, is working to achieve the goal of having a greater impact across the country in supporting the autism community. Autism Speaks® is United Real Estate’s dedicated charity and the sole beneficiary of all funds raised by Project Blue, United’s philanthropic nationwide fundraising program.

United agents now have the ability to easily donate a dollar amount or percentage of the commissions earned on each real estate transaction to Autism Speaks, creating a convenient way through United’s paperless transaction management system to give back and aid the many families affected by autism. Autism is a disorder that affects each person differently and can cause challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. To date, in 2016, United brokers, agents and staff have raised over $26,210 dollars to support Autism Speaks’ mission, which includes being a catalyst for research breakthroughs, raising awareness, advocacy and ensuring access to lifelong family services.

United held a charity car show that took place at United Amplified and raised $2,040. Walks and other activities drive donations that make large impacts. As United continues to rapidly add offices and agents across the United States, the expectation is that all United associates will welcome the opportunity to contribute to Autism Speaks each time they sell a home.

“United Real Estate was launched to not just solve the legacy problems that have existed inside the real estate brokerage industry, but to also build a brand that was relevant to the core values that individuals expect from a business in this connected world,” said Peter Giese, President of United Real Estate. “I have seen first-hand the difference Autism Speaks has made in developing awareness, promoting early intervention and positively influencing insurance laws, to mention just a few accomplishments, as they aid those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. One of the core values at United Real Estate is being a positive contributor in the communities we serve and this new program gives our agents an opportunity to have a meaningful impact and aid the autism community every time they sell a home.”

Suzanne and Bob Wright founded Autism Speaks in 2005, after their grandchild was diagnosed with the disorder. Now recognized as the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, Autism Speaks is working to increase global understanding of autism, increase early-childhood screening and intervention, improve the transition to adulthood, and ensure access to reliable information and services.

“Our goal is to connect people with autism and their families with information and resources to maximize their quality of life,” said Lisa Goring, Autism Speaks Chief Program and Marketing Officer. “The generosity of United Real Estate will help us fulfill our mission of enhancing lives today and accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.”
