United® Real Estate Office Returns to its Roots

May 29, 2019 (DALLAS) –– National real estate organization, United® Real Estate, announced this week the return of the original owner to its United Real Estate | Lexington KY office. Bonnie Mays opened United’s Lexington office in 2013 as the first official franchise of the United model. Mays helped establish its dominant presence in the Lexington marketplace while also devoting her time as managing broker and CEO of United Real Estate | Louisville. Despite being new to Louisville and knowing no other REALTORS® in the market at the time of opening, Mays was able to grow the office in four years to over 165 agents and increase transaction count by 74% year-over-year and open a second location. Her 30 years of experience in all phases of the real estate industry brings agents a strong understanding of how the United model can bring financial and growth benefits.

In addition to Mays’ return, she will be joined in ownership by current United | Lexington KY top agent, Lisa Peel. Peel offers 29 years’ experience in the real estate industry and is also the current owner of United’s Knoxville, Tenn. office, United Real Estate | Solutions. In under two years, the startup has grown to quickly become one of the top offices in Knoxville with over 95 agents. Peel will also be expanding the United footprint with a new location opening in Chattanooga, Tenn., this summer.

Mays and Peel’s offices have both received United’s Company of the Year award, presented to the office with the highest transaction volume in the calendar year. Additionally, Peel is the recipient of United’s Leadership Excellence Award. Peel was nominated and voted for the award by United’s leadership team for her demonstration of United’s core values and guiding principles in her business while actively growing and participating in United’s programs.

“The current market share of United | Lexington KY is powerful and we are eager to place the office on an explosive growth plan that will better agents’ careers and bring more success,” says Lisa Peel, agent and owner, United | Lexington KY. The United model provides agents the latest in training, marketing, technology and access to a national referral network, all while receiving 100-percent of commissions generated.

“The backbone of our model is our agents,” says Rick Haase, president, United Real Estate. “Lisa and Bonnie’s combined experience and knowledge of not only the real estate industry but the United model will be an immense differentiator as they lead Lexington agents. The growth and success they both have accomplished in their own offices is proof of their dedication to their agents.”

“Lisa and I are incredibly excited to offer agents the benefits of a national brokerage with strong local leadership,” states Bonnie Mays, principal broker and owner, United | Lexington KY.  “We are excited for this opportunity and have a vision to continue the market awareness and success that began in 2013.”
